How often do you think bands or songwriters are working on songs and then after they play it realize it sounds exactly like something else they've heard before...just wondering. Is music really THAT unique in every song. I doubt it.

It's interesting to think of this at different levels. Gazillions of modern pops songs are identical..
I wonder if Beethoven or anyone was ever composing and then were like, "Damn, I knew that melody sounded famiiar. I just ripped off that coda from Haydn"
